Purpose of the Course
This
hands-on workshop environment provides a comprehensive 22 session,
11-week program covering
Windows
programming
using Visual Basic and Relational Database development geared to
preparing for the Microsoft Visual Basic Certification Examination.
This certification is highly regarded in industry as a benchmark
of achievement and a symbol of true Microsoft software expertise.
This
course covers all subjects necessary to pass the Microsoft Visual
Basic Certification Examinations and goes into more depth in the
areas of the Win 32 operating systems, Object Oriented Development
and Client Server development.
To
effectively use any Windows programming application the developer
must know the language (i.e. Visual Basic) and also the surrounding
technologies. For Microsoft Windows Applications these include;
the Windows operating system (API calls), ActiveX and COM technology,
and accessing databases from Visual Basic. The latter includes both
the Access database and server databases such as Microsoft SQL Server
and Oracle. This extensive course includes all of the above complete
with working examples and constructive labs.
